Tenero, Switzerland

The National Youth Sport Center lies in the Magadino plain, on the shore of Lake Maggiore. It is proposed to erect a spacious, generously designed sports ground with a complete program of activities in several stages of construction. Sport area and agricultural fields are merged with each other.
Two formal topics overlap: on one hand, the grown structure of the existing landscape, on the other hand, the network-like designed of the path structures with their pruned avenues of trees. With its generous design for the open spaces and the strictly geometrical design in the landscape, the project seeks to show the uniqueness of the National Youth Sport Center.
