Urban plaza in front of Congress Hall

The project is an urban interpretation for two distinguished plazas, conferring them different signification. The Piazza Indipendenza is a prevailing urban space connected to the city and its life. While the Piazza Castello is intended as a space that belongs to the Palazzo dei Congressi as well as transitory element in dialogue with the historical park.

Piazza Indipendenza becomes a space for encounters, diversion, recreation, manifestation, and a pace to stay. This plaza is connected to the urban fabric and defined with an architectural element, a double row of pruned trees, which contain and give a limit to this space.
Piazza Castello instead is intended as an entrance door to the Palazzo dei Congressi, a place of transit and movement.
