…A new footpath is not to lead around the whole of the park at the neuropsychiatric clinic in Mendrisio, passing six follies made up of trees and shrubs on its way. The differing growth forms of the plants underscore the character of the green follies: fastigiated oaks planted in a circle will one day form an impenetrable glade; tall standard evergreen oaks planted in a grid create the impression of a dark cube of trees while the rows of slender cypresses create different perspective illusions…
